Admission in Vocational Training Centre Girls Larkano is conducted strictly in accordance with the rules and regulations, framed by the Sindh Technical Educational & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) Headquarters, Karachi Academic and Training Directorate.

Admission Process

Step One

Advertidement by STEVTA Headquarters / Local Admission Campaign

STEVTA Headquarters announces the admission schedule annually after a detailed meeting with the concerned principals. The admission advertisement is published in the most widely circulated newspapers in Urdu, Sindhi, and English languages. Admission starts in the first week of November every year, and classes commence on the first Monday of January each year. The principal of VTCG Larkano is responsible for constituting the admission committee and providing advertising materials, such as flyers, leaflets, Panaflex, etc.

Step Two

Enquiry & Counceling

After the announcement of the admission schedule by STEVTA Headquarters, students attempt to access the admission information office for basic information. The Front Desk Officer (Admission Clerk) is responsible for providing the Admission Form, advertising material, Fees Chalan, basic trade information, arranging visits for visitors to all trades where the trade teacher explains the importance of the trade in the industry / market. The officer also arranges meetings with the institute counselor (if necessary), designated by VTC management, for further details and the importance of each trade. Additionally, the officer maintains records of visitors for follow-up and for the next admission strategy.

Step Three

Trainee Registration

When the student wants to register himself in any trade the front desk officer will provide him with a chalan form and compile the admission application forms trade wise.

Step Four

Merit List

The responsibility of the Information Desk Officer (Admission Clerk) is to maintain and display the merit list on the noticeboard with the principal’s countersignature after the last date. The office order for all trade-wise trainees shall be distributed among the trade instructors. If any trainee is admitted after the last date in any circumstances, the Training Services Centre Incharge is responsible for updating the trainees’ merit list and informing the trade instructor with the office order.

Step Five

Orientation & Commencement of Classes

Orientation sessions will be conducted before the commencement of classes. The orientation sessions will be conducted individually in each trade. The following components will be introduced in the orientation session.

Admission Requirements

NVC Level-2 & 3 Fashion Designing

Entrey Level:  Middle or Matric Pass
Age Limit: Minimum 16 Years and above
Docements Required:
• Educational Certificate Photocopies (Mandatory) 2 Copies
• Attested Photocopy of CNIC / B Form (Mandatory) 2 Copies
• 8 Passport Size Photos.

Diploma in Information Technology (D.I.T)

Entrey Level: Matric Pass
Age Limit: Minimum 16 Years to 35 Years
Docements Required:
• Educational Certificate Photocopies (Mandatory) 2 Copies
• Attested Photocopy of CNIC / B Form (Mandatory) 2 Copies
• 8 Passport Size Photos.

Admission Policy

Merit Criteria

Merit list will be calculating on basis of Matric Marks, Interviews (in case of middle candidate) and on Domicile

Allocation of seats

Note:

a. Any seats remaining un-utilized in All Sindh Basis & Reserved Seats categories shall be merged into Open Merit Seats and Vice Versa.
b. All applicants for admission on Reciprocal seats should apply through their provincial TEVTAs.
c. All applicants for admission on defense Quota seats should apply through their respective Headquarters.
d. The admission will be on merit within category / group.
 

Ineligibilities

a. Not within age brackets specified above.
b. Failure to submit Age Relaxation Certificate with Admission Form (in case of overage candidate only).

Disqualifications

a. Any attempt to influence admission process directly or indirectly.
b. If any entry in the application form is found to be incomplete or illegible.
c. Any alteration or manipulation in the Admission Form / Documents.
d. Parallel Admission in any other Educational Institution or Board.

Morning Regular Program: 20

Procedure for Admission Against Reserved Seats

Candidates seeking admission to seats reserved for other Provinces, Azad Kashmir/Northern Areas/FATA/Makran Division (Balochistan) must apply through the respective TEVTA Headquarters, Government of Pakistan/Secretary (National Board) Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

6. S-II Level Assessment Procedure (Informal Sector)

A candidate from the informal sector (trained under the Ustad Shagird System) approaches the Admission Information Officer for basic information at the Training Services Centre. The Front Desk Officer (Admission Clerk) is responsible for providing information and explaining the examination procedure. They fill out the preliminary information and assessment form with the required testimonials and arrange a meeting with the trade instructor for gap analysis. The trade teacher schedules the date for assessment, conducts the skill and knowledge assessment, and hands over all the assessment material to the Information Desk Officer for dispatching to the Qualification Awarding Body (Trade Testing Board) for certification.
